Tianma (Chengdu) Railway Bearing Co., ltd.(hereafter referred as Chengdu Tianma) was founded in January, 2002. It is located in Qing Baijiang district of Chengdu city with a registered capital of 380 million yuan, covering an area of 134 000 m2 and having more than 800 employees.

As one of the leading enterprises in China’s high-end bearing manufacturing field, Chengdu Tianma always focuses on breakthrough of core technologies and the strategy of import substitution. Its primary products include railway wagon bearings and subway bearings, which are widely used in both domestic and foreign rail traffic projects.

The railway wagon bearings manufactured by Chengdu Tianma have reached the international advanced level. Currently, the company has an annual capacity of 400 000 sets of new heavy-loading bearings and 150 000 sets of refurbished bearings for railway wagons, ranking first in both production and sales market share. Now it supplies bearings to the National Railway Administration Group and its subordinate railway bureaus as well as various rolling stock companies under CRRC group; since the company has started developing and manufacturing subway axlebox bearing in 2011, so far it has supplied bearings for 5 original equipment manufacturers, CRRC Nanjing Puzhen, CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, CRRC Qingdao Sifang, and BSR, and supplied about 23 300 sets of independently manufactured axlebox bearings for 523 trains of 29 lines in 14 cities such as Beijing, Shenzhen, and etc. Meanwhile the company also provides independent refurbishment of axlebox bearings for 11 cities such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, Hefei, Chengdu and so on. It has finished refurbishment of about 30 000 bearings. In addition, the company also has achieved phased results in the research and development of high-speed rail bearing. In 2024, the company has achieved sales revenue of 660 million RMB.

Tianma Chengdu, in collaboration with Wuhan University of Technology and Southwest Jiaotong University, has systematically promoted the research and development of key technologies of bearings and industrialization on base of the research results and production conditions of bearing design, manufacturing and test technologies to break foreign technology blockades and market monopolies, improve bearing technology level of China, promote the transformation and upgrading of China’s bearing industry and ensure the independent and healthy development of China’s bearing industry.

Chengdu Tianma relies on advantageous resources and after years of construction and development, has owned industry-leading research and development technology, reserved a large number of technical talents and had strong manufacturing capabilities. Technique center of the company has been reated as a “provincial technology center”. Its Inspection and test center has passed CNAS certification and received the “Capability Verification Quality Award”. The company has taken part in development of several national and industrial standards and is granted with the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. It has obtained 37 patents, including 4 invention patents and 33 utility model patents. With its excellent comprehensive strength and contributions to the industry, the company has been awarded the honorary title of Excellent Private Enterprise in Sichuan Province and Top 100 Private Enterprises in Chengdu City.
